Kevin Selleck is a well-known American actor and musician who gained first attention when he appeared in Magnum P.I., and Scream 2. He is also known as an adopted son of famous actor Tom Selleck.

Bio

Tom was 19 years old when he adopted young Kevin. At the time, Tom was married to Kevin’s mom, a famous model and actress Jacqueline Ray. He was born in 1966, and until this day, no one knows who his father is. However, his father’s surname is suspected to be Shepard. Kevin was officially adopted on the 7th of August 1987 by Tom, who was at the time married to his mother. Unfortunately, this marriage lasted only for ten years, and the two former love birds went separate ways in August 1982. Nevertheless, Tom stayed active and present in Kevin’s life and helped him to get the most out the life. Kevin has a stepsister Hannah and one half-sibling, Umeko Ray.

Career

As a music lover, Kevin founded the rock band Tonic, in 1993, together with four others. Three years later, they released their debut album, named Lemon Parade. The album had some popular singles, including Open Up Your Eyes, and spend 57 weeks on the Billboard 200 and Hot 100. However, due to personal fights among the band members, Tonic stopped existing, and the band split in December 1996. Kevin tried a comeback to music and even had full Tom’s moral and financial support, but it sadly just backfired, so Kevin decided to stop chasing his music dream. Later on, he appeared in the TV series Magnum, P.I. in 1980, and famous teenage hit movie Scream 2 in 1997. Many believe that he got these roles due to his father’s influence. Kevin wrote the soundtrack for Scream 2.

Life

During his young years, Kevin had significant issues with his temper and bad behaviors. He was almost expelled from the University of Southern Carolina due to his problematic behavior. For a long time, this musician suffered from drinking problems. His mother, in 2014, was sentenced to 18 years in prison, because she hired a hitman to kill the husband of her step-daughter. This event pushed Kevin, even more, from public life. Since then, he is nowhere to be seen, since he decided to go under the radar and off public eyes.
