Some Things You Should Know Before Visiting Halong Bay – 2025 Guide

img source: getyourguide.com

You know that you have traveled to the right place, when you have not left yet and you are already thinking about returning. It happened to me, when visiting Halong Bay. I fell in love with this place without knowing what it was called or where in the world it was. Over time I discovered that it was Halong Bay and that I could find it in Vietnam.

Globetrotters are looking for different experiences, such as eating local specialties, traveling around destinations using mass transportation, and wanting to know how the locals do their daily activities. If you know this globetrotter you will know that when a destiny gets between my eyebrows, the universe conspires to make it come true. That my globetrotters, is called visualization and years ago visiting Halong Bay was in my peephole.

Halong Bay in Vietnam is a magical place that every explorer should try to visit at least once in their life. It is about 2,000 islands of karst rock and tropical foliage that dot 1,500 square km of emerald waters.

Aboard a traditional wooden boat, our journey through Halong Bay or “Bay of the Descending Dragon” began. The lush tropical vegetation that covers these islets make them look like jade stones. Legend has it that these were spat out by the dragons that came to help the Vietnamese people from the Chinese invasion.

From our hotel boat we went on a rowing boat adventure to explore islets, caves and grottos. A delicious dinner completed the night. I could never decide which I enjoyed more between the peaceful night or the breathtaking sunrise in Halong Bay.

An amazing place

What can I tell you? When visiting Halong Bay I was speechless … It is one of those places that you want to devour with your eyes, capturing images so that they are well tattooed in your memory.

You may just find out, but Halong Bay is Vietnam’s tourist gem. About 7 million people visited it in recent years. Not for less, it is considered one of the 7 Natural Wonders of the world and was declared a World Heritage Site by Unesco.

Ha-Long Bay: history and environmental wealth

img source: patkay.com

Repeating again, Ha-Long Bay, which was named a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1994 in Thailand, and is one of the seven natural wonders of the world since 2011, borders the city of Ha-Long and a part from Van Put Island.

It is made up of 1,969 islands, which are divided into two classes, namely: limestone and slate rock, which are located in the southeast, in Long Bai Tu Bay, and in the southwest, in the Bay of Ha-Long. Its surface is 1,500 square meters of water, which runs about 120 kilometers of Asian coastline.

Regarding its importance to the planet, this region has a biological diversity concentrated in coral reefs, 200 species of fish, 450 different kinds of mollusks, forests flooded with seawater and tropical forests with very rich fauna and flora.

The protected area of the bay covers an area of 15,000 hectares. Its rocks are covered by vegetation that, together with the birds that fly over the region, make it an area of tranquility completely opposite to the markets and the bustle of Vietnam.

Population density, war and environmental problems

The forests and their animal and plant species have diminished in the bay due to commercial activities and the concentration of the population. Logging is a big problem in this region. Trees are felled for different types of timber in massive quantities for export, resulting in significant forest loss and flooding in parts of the bay and in parts of Vietnam and Thailand.

The Vietnam War, which started in 1964, was another factor that had an impact on pollution. Chemical aggression during the war, caused by Americans spraying chemical defoliants, affected the food chain and the environment.

Beauty, islands, forests and ancient and contemporary history are part of a region that we must conserve and protect. There are many regions located in places that we do not know and that we do not imagine are on the planet. The future task is to make them known, so that the human being becomes aware of the excesses that he can commit against the natural environment and his own future as a species on the planet. Of course this is not limited to Ha-Long Bay. Environmental awareness should also apply to all natural areas of our earth.

At least one night on a boat

img source: unsplash.com

No matter how you travel there, make sure that your visit includes spending at least one night on a boat in Halong Bay. Nothing like enjoying the night surrounded by its capricious rocky headlands or watching the sunrise in its quiet waters. An unforgettable experience of a lifetime!

Go mentally and do not exhaust yourself trying … When you visit Halong Bay you will discover that there is no cell reception. If this is impossible for you to handle, take a portable hotspot with you. It is possible that on your ship they offer you “Wi-Fi” service for an additional charge, but don’t you think this is the perfect time and place to disconnect from the digital world.

You can find various tour levels

img source: vietsapatravel.com

When it comes to hiring a tour to visit Halong Bay, there is everything in the Lord’s vineyard… You will find cheap, moderate and high-level tours that range from 40 to $ 200.

My recommendation: buy one less swimsuit and invest in a moderate tour. This is an experience that you will treasure for a lifetime and you don’t want to end up ruining yourself on a ship packed with tourists and few amenities.

In the future, I want to visit Halong Bay again and stay longer exploring these magical islets, but now my exotic tour must continue! Do you want to get info about Halong Bay Cruises? Just click here! I hope this post was informative. Thank you for reading!

Eating Disorders And How To Deal With It

Source: unsplash.com

Contrary to popular belief, an eating disorder is not characterized as being fat, rather it is a mental illness that can have considerable effects on a person’s life. In these diseases, the patients have irregular eating habits and eating is also accompanied with such thoughts and emotions that disturb the patients. People become obsessed with having a certain weight, or body shape and start experiencing severe anxiety due to this obsession that can develop eating disorders. They become very keen on eating certain types of foods and counting calories in every meal.

Sometimes the patients eat too much or too little due to anxiety depending on the type of eating disorder they are suffering from. Although some of these disorders can be treated with medicines but to get rid of them forever, people need to consult behavioral therapists, psychologists, psychiatrists and nutrition dietitians. Moreover, various rehabilitation centers provide professional help for such patients and do their best to help them walk on the path to a healthy life. For more information, visit Ocean Recovery.

Types of eating disorders

Source: unsplash.com

Eating disorders have various types some of which are described below:

Bulimia nervosa

People suffering from bulimia nervosa tend to eat an excessive amount of food in a short period of time and keep eating until their stomachs feel full to the brim. It can be the type of food that people normally avoid like cream pies, cakes, or other high-calorie foods and the person feels like he has no control over the amount of food he is consuming. After binge eating, the patient feels sick which usually results in self-induced vomiting, fasting, or excessive exercise that are called compensatory behaviors. These patients are not normally underweight. Bulimic patients often suffer from painful sore throats, heartburn, dental decay, and recurrent diarrhea. Bulimia nervosa is more common in women, especially young girls. Cognitive-behavioral therapy is used to help patients to overcome their illnesses and employ normal eating habits.

Pica disorder

In this eating disorder, the patient tends to eat weird things that are not actually considered food. This disorder usually develops in mentally ill people, children, or even pregnant women. They get a strong craving to eat things like dirt, soap, chalk, wool, laundry detergent, paint, or hair. Since some of these materials are quite harmful if ingested, they can become life-threatening. There is a risk of internal injuries, poisoning, not to mention serious infections. If this behavior becomes too frequent then it may need serious medical attention. Behavioral therapy helps in treating these patients, moreover, the doctors can carry out a thorough check-up to see if the patient has any nutritional deficiencies so that they may be addressed correctly to avoid such behavior again.

Anorexia nervosa

Source: unsplash.com

Anorexia nervosa is one of the most serious eating disorders with a high mortality rate. Anorexic patients have an extreme fear of gaining too much weight and becoming obese which results in them starving themselves and losing weight to a dangerously low point. They become extremely frail and have lower weight and height than is normal in people of their age. It is common in adolescents and affects women more than men. The impossible and fake beauty standards that the media shows, can have a significant mental and physical effect on young people when they try to follow them and end up with serious disorders.

Anorexic patients feel like they are gaining weight and becoming fat even if in reality, they are dangerously underweight. Anorexic patients have two types; one type of patients lose weight by fasting excessively, and having a strict diet while the other type usually indulges in binge eating and later self-induced vomiting. These behaviors have considerable negative effects on their bodies and these patients, due to being quite weak, often suffer from a weak immune system, muscle weakness, severe constipation, heartburn, and dizziness.

Rumination disorder

This eating disorder is very unusual in which the patient after chewing and swallowing his food regurgitates it and chews it again, after which he either swallows it again or spits it out. This is not like reflux of food, rather it is a voluntary action. It can develop in infants, children, or even adults. Sometimes, it disappears on its own after a while but other times, the patient may need medical attention.

Avoidant/restrictive food intake disorder ARFID

Source: unsplash.com

Previously, this illness was considered specific for children under the age of 7 years and it was called, “feeding disorder of infancy and childhood.” Later it was discovered that it can also develop in adults and it is common in both men and women. In this condition, the patient continuously avoids food intake, especially due to being a picky eater which results in his nutrition intake not being fulfilled. The patient suffers from malnutrition and loses a lot of weight. The patient suffering from this disorder is not usually concerned with his weight or the shape of the body. These eating behaviors can affect the family and social function because they do not eat with other people. ARFID can be treated with the help of a dietitian and mental health professionals.

Reasons for the development of eating disorders

Eating disorders result from various reasons such as genetics, different personality types, varying brain structures, or cultural standards of beauty set up by society and media. These disorders can be passed on from one generation to another as heredity. Moreover, people with impulsive, neurotic, or perfectionist personalities are often at risk of developing an eating disorder. Another reason is the aforementioned impossible beauty standards that pressure people into forcing themselves to go through such difficult ordeals so that society may think that they are attractive. Some scientists seem to believe that different biological chemistry or brain structures can result in the development of eating disorders. These eating disorders are mental health illnesses that need to be treated accordingly to help the patient live a happy and healthy life and he can receive the necessary treatment at rehabilitation centers.

7 Things to Know Before Growing Your First Big Beard

Source: The Men's Attitude

There are a lot of men who wish to grow out their beard but aren’t quite sure how to reach a nice-looking beard or how to properly foster its growth. A lot of people assume it’s just genetics, giving up on their plans of stylish beards after the first few attempts resulting in very rare facial hair. However, this can’t be farther away from the truth.

Growing a beard, especially a bigger one, requires time and care that goes beyond simply waiting it out. Just like any attempt to change our body, it requires proper treatment. In the following article, we will elaborate on the ways you can reach that great big beard for maximum style. Alongside these tips, we will provide you with some important steps to take when grooming and maintaining your beard, which is just as important as growing one.

Source: Beard Resource

1. Take care of your health

Believe it or not, good health is the first step to properly growing out a beard. Not eating right can be one of the most detrimental factors to your beard growth. Make sure your meals are balanced, following the food pyramid and conforming to your needs, and that they contain some key nutrients that factor into beard growth. These include vitamins A, B, and C which play a very important role in maintaining healthy hair.

Reducing stress in your life is another very important factor as stress has adverse effects on all of our bodily processes. Stories of people losing their hair over stressful life are nothing new, same goes for facial hair. The balanced diet mentioned above can assist with stress reduction as well due to some foods containing anti-stress properties. Other factors that can help reduce stress are a consistent workout schedule, proper hydration, and proper sleep. Sleep specifically is very important, you should be getting 7 to 8 hours of sleep every night to maintain a low-stress lifestyle and allow your beard to grow unimpeded.

2. Know your face shape

Not everybody has the same face shape and not every face shape can accommodate the same beard properly. For example, if you have a round face you’ll look great with a short boxed beard or a goatee but won’t rock a tapered full beard as well as a square face would. It’s good to know which beard fits your face best before even starting to grow it so you can set your goals and expectations properly. Another factor in this area is the nature of your facial hair. Some people have naturally patchy beards or lack facial hair on some part of their face, such as cheeks, making some of the beards harder to grow. However, the next step may help you adjust these shortcomings and get that style you are aiming for.

3. Give it time

This is the most boring and annoying step but also the most important one. Properly taking the time for your beard to grow can resolve the issues of patchiness or lack of growth, as that lack of growth may just be your facial hair in that area growing very slowly. By the end of the first week of growing out your beard, there should be formidable stubble forming which you can use to gauge the growth speed of your beard.

After this week you’ll have a two-week period that will shape the eventual pattern of your facial hair. In another two or four weeks you should have very prominent beard growth, although it may not be at the point of a proper full beard yet. However, you should still take proper care of it. The key point of this growth will usually set in around two months in at which point your beard should be fully formed. When you reach this step it’s useful to revisit styles you are aiming for and see if they fit into your beard pattern. An additional tip to drop in is that you shouldn’t trim or style your facial hair until you’ve crossed at least 4 weeks of beard growth, it’s important to let hairs grow out without any interruption or you may see uneven growth crop up.

4. Trimming your beard as it grows

Of course, while you are letting the beard grow the latter weeks need to include some trimming. This is done for the sake of shaping your stylish facial hair into a proper pattern that will fit your expectations. Get proper equipment such as trimmers and scissors to make sure no odd patch of hair will impact your perfect beard form. The oddities you should look out for include checking for stray hairs, cutting off split ends, and removing damaged hairs to allow new ones to properly grow. If your goal is a fully wild and unrestrained beard then feel free to ignore this step but keep in mind that said beard should still be properly taken care of in other ways so keep reading the following tips.

5. Find a good beard products supplier

This is a step that usually gets skipped by those who are planning to grow out their beard, instead choosing to use whatever beard products they can find in their local drug. While just about any trimmer or pair of scissors can do a decent job of trimming your beard the following two categories require a bit more scrutiny. Thankfully, there are services on offer that allow the simple purchase of high-quality beard care products and provide great deals.

6. Grooming

This may be one of the most important steps in shaping your wild assortment of facial hairs into a properly styled beard. If you are aiming to grow a proper big beard you’ll have to groom it as you would groom long hair, often and with proper form. Grooming comes into play along with trimming, as it helps shape the beard into the desired look while it’s still growing. Skipping this step won’t only impact the style of your beard but also the comfort of it as hairs can get tangled up causing a lot of annoyance during your daily life. Get yourself a brush before starting your beard growth so you can take immediate care of it once it becomes long enough to groom.

7. Apply beard oils and other helpful beard products

There’s a reason so many products for beards exist on the market. Our beard is under constant strain from outside factors such as heat and bad weather so it’s only logical that we should give it some proper protection. This protection forms naturally when the beard is given proper nutrients in the form of beard oil as its contents are good for the beard’s durability. These items also give it a bit more style with the slight hint of shine they offer while helping us groom it easier due to preventing it from drying out. Using beard oil in tandem with grooming will help you distribute the oil evenly, providing important nutrients to the whole beard.

img source: bizlatinhub.com

Accounting is often looked at as a course or classes important to specific careers. This assumption is not entirely true.

While accounting does open you up to many accounting and finance-related career choices, it does way more than that.

Accounting, like math, is among the few subjects studied in class practical in your day-to-day life. While you might not think much of it as you go about your life, you probably use accounting principles several times each day as you go about your everyday life.

Here, learn about some real-life applications of accounting and some ways you have been using them unconsciously.

1. Reconciliation

img source: biasonline.com

Reconciliation is comparing two separate records to ensure listed figures are accurate and tally; this can help flag differences that occur erroneously or that can be explained satisfactorily.

One way to demonstrate reconciliation is when making a purchase. At some point, you are likely to look at your receipt. Here you check the amount of what you have bought versus the cash you paid to the cashier and the change you received.

If all the figures are accurate, you are good to go; if not, you raise the issue with the cashier.

The second example is when you go through your bank statements. You check these against your receipts and spending. You also look at the bank charges to ensure the charges are correct and that what cleared your account is what you spent.

There are two examples of reconciliation that you use daily and that are firmly rooted in accounting principles.

2. Budgeting and Tracking Spending

img source: ramseysolutions.com

Think about a scenario where you spend more money than you have. At some point, this will lead to some negative consequences, such as having to get into debt and a zero or negative bank balance, which places you in a precarious situation.

To avoid this, people create a budget. An adequate budget looks at income and expenses and ensures you have enough to cover all costs at the end of a set pay period. This takes into account both a salary and additional income from other sources.

If your expenses exceed your total income, look into cost-cutting measures to ensure you only spend what you have.

This is something professional accountants do for organizations and businesses. Their goal in doing this is to ensure profitability. On a personal level, you will use budgeting to manage your finances better.

3. Future Planning

Understanding Personality Disorders: What They Are and How They’re Treated

Source: Midwest Recovery Centers

Throughout the years, it’s become increasingly common to hear about personality disorders in the media, online, and through other means. However, there are many misconceptions out there about personality disorders and what it means to have one. So, what are personality disorders? How are they treated, and what should you do if you think you have one? Today, we’ll answer those questions and talk about how to find support if you need it.

Source: Pinterest

What Are Personality Disorders?

Personality disorders are a group or category of mental health conditions. In the diagnostic and statistical manual of mental disorders or DSM, there are various known and recognized personality disorders that can be diagnosed and are medically recognized, with an established list of symptoms and behaviors, and generally accepted treatment plans. According to the National Institute of Mental Health, or NIMH, about 9.1% of the adult population in the United States alone lives with a personality disorder. Living with a personality disorder can be challenging, like anything else, but having a personality disorder doesn’t mean that you have a “bad” or “flawed” personality. Everyone is born perfectly imperfect, in their own ways, and it is estimated that more than 10% of the world’s population has or has had a mental health disorder at some point in their lifetime. Like anyone else, people with personality disorders cannot be placed in a box or described in a few short words, and having a personality disorder doesn’t mean that you can’t achieve your goals. Many people with personality disorders live long, successful, happy lives, and with support, you can overcome the challenges you face if you have a mental health issue diagnosis or personality disorder.

Types Of Personality Disorders

There are three clusters of personality disorders listed in the diagnostic and statistical manual of mental disorders or DSM. Even within the same cluster, each personality disorder is characterized by different experiences, symptoms, and behaviors.

Cluster A personality disorders are characterized by what is seen as odd or eccentric behavior. These behaviors are usually noticeable to friends, family, coworkers, and those close to the people experiencing these disorders. To receive a diagnosis of a Cluster A personality disorder, a person must be experiencing significant difficulties living a normal life, and these difficulties must last for enduring stretches of time. Many of these disorders produce feelings that others (strangers or known individuals) may secretly be set on harming, embarrassing, or taking advantage of the person. For this reason, these people may be seen actively taking safety precautions or planning for some kind of “attack” that may never come. Cluster A personality disorders include:

  • Paranoid Personality Disorder (PPD).
  • Schizoid Personality Disorder (SPD).
  • Schizotypal Personality Disorder
  • (STPD).
Source: EMOttawa Blog

Cluster B personality disorders are characterized by emotional intensity or instability and often include impulsivity. Cluster B personality disorders can be summarized with a consistent pattern of displaying no regard for the safety, comfort, or rights of others. These personality disorders often show themselves with acts of deceit and manipulation, and sometimes aggression or hostility. These personality disorders often surface or are first seen in childhood, and can include actions such as hurting other children or animals, excessive bullying or hostility towards others and holding little value of the property of others, such as breaking or setting fire to something that belongs to someone else. This Cluster type is especially known for acting out, being impulsive, and continuously putting themselves in risky and dangerous situations. While they may know how to appear apologetic or regretful when their actions cause harm to others, they genuinely do not care and do not feel sorry for what happens to others. They often find a way to blame an innocent person for their own harmful actions and feel no guilt or shame.

Cluster B personality disorders include:

  • Antisocial Personality Disorder (ASPD).
  • Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD).
  • Histrionic Personality Disorder (HPD).
  • Narcissistic Personality Disorder (NPD).
Source: Harmony Bay Wellness

Cluster C personality disorders are characterized by anxious or fearful features. These people may have a deep sense of being “not enough”, be very sensitive to criticism, and have many different fears surrounding close relationships or even social proximity to others. If these symptoms develop in early childhood, the person might miss out on the chances to develop social skills that many people find themselves with in adulthood. Because of their fears and their occasional lack of knowledge, people with Cluster B personality types may not have large groups of friends or even large circles of acquaintances. Unfortunately, this can create a sad cycle where the person believes that their lack of friends increases their social ineptitude and makes them even less worthy of friendships and relationships.

Cluster C personality disorders include:

  • Avoidant Personality Disorder (AVPD).
  • Dependent Personality Disorder (DPD).
  • Obsessive-Compulsive Personality. Disorder (OCPD).

Diagnosis And Treatment

To receive a diagnosis for any mental health condition, including any of the personality disorders listed above, you must see a licensed medical professional such as a psychiatrist who is qualified to diagnose mental health conditions or disorders. Every personality disorder is treated differently, but various modalities of talk therapy are a popular, well-researched treatment for personality disorders and other mental health concerns or conditions. If you have a personality disorder or think that you might, it’s important to reach out for support. It’s common for people with various personality disorders to experience a comorbid or co-occurring mental health condition such as anxiety disorders, substance use disorders, eating disorders, and so on. Depending on what concerns are the most prevalent at the time you seek treatment, one challenge may be addressed before another.

What Is ASPD?

Although it has gained substantial traction in the media and interpersonal discourse over the years, antisocial personality disorder or ASPD is frequently misunderstood, and often misrepresented in media, especially television. At first glance, the word “antisocial” may seem to indicate that this disorder refers to someone who is shy, quiet, not talkative, and tends to retreat from social settings or groups of people as a result. In reality, though, someone with ASPD may isolate or retreat from groups in some cases, though many people with ASPD interact with others in witty or charming ways to get what they want. This is something that many people may not realize when they first hear the name of the disorder. With this in mind, you might wonder, “what exactly is antisocial personality disorder?”

Today, we will answer the question, “what is ASPD?” and talk about how it’s diagnosed and treated, as well as how to find support if you think you or someone you know may have antisocial personality disorder, or ASPD.

What Is ASPD?

Antisocial personality disorder or ASPD is one out of four Cluster B personality disorders that appear in the fifth edition of the diagnostic and statistical manual of mental disorders or DSM. Antisocial personality disorder is characterized by ongoing patterns of disregard, exploitation, or violation of the rights of others. People with antisocial personality disorder often lie, manipulate, or deceive other people without remorse and do not follow social norms. It is common for people with antisocial personality disorder to face trouble with the law.

Symptoms of ASPD may include but are not limited to:

  • Manipulative behavior – i.e., making others believe something untrue, making it easier for the manipulator to get what they want
  • The exploitation of other people – asking for others to do extra work for them, cover for them, lie for them, or even give them things
  • Lying or deceptiveness.
  • Lack of empathy or regard for others – not caring if someone is injured, emotionally hurt, or otherwise bothered by something they do
  • Impulsivity or reckless behavior – displaying a general disregard for the safety and security of strangers, acquaintances, close friends and family, and sometimes even themselves
  • Aggression, anger, and hostility – lashing out, yelling, being easily angered and seemingly overreacting or reacting intensely
  • Irritability – easily inconvenienced or bothered
  • Difficulty fulfilling financial, social, work-related, or other obligations – many times because they see no value in keeping promises, fulfilling their word, or performing any kind of societal duties or expectations

It’s common for people with an antisocial personality disorder to have comorbid concerns or diagnoses such as substance use disorders, gambling, depression, and more. These can mask antisocial personality disorder, making it difficult for medical professionals or those close to the individual to notice and intervene. Many people diagnosed with antisocial personality disorder, or ASPD, have a comorbid or co-occurring mental health condition.

Diagnosis And Treatment

Here are some facts about the diagnosis and treatment of antisocial personality disorder:

  • Symptoms of antisocial personality disorder must not be better explained by episodes or symptoms caused by another mental health condition, meaning that the symptoms must stand alone. If they cannot be attributed to a separate health condition, there is a chance for a diagnosis.
  • Symptoms of antisocial personality disorder are seen early in life, and people with antisocial personality disorder typically meet the criteria for conduct disorder as a child, though not all are diagnosed. Early childhood can be a stressful and overwhelming time for many parents, who know that many children grow out of abnormal behaviors or symptoms. Often, this causes mental health issues such as antisocial personality disorder to be overlooked, and not diagnosed.
  • If a child is diagnosed with conduct disorder and symptoms are still present at age 18, then the diagnosis will be converted to ASPD. Since children go through lots of change and development, disorders are not always diagnosed until after age 18.
  • Many people with antisocial personality disorder do not ever seek help, and may never want to or feel the need to. If early intervention occurs, or if someone is dedicated to receiving help, treatment for ASPD is available, though the person with antisocial personality disorder must willingly participate in treatment and want to change for the treatment to be effective.
  • It is said that antisocial personality disorder is seen in roughly 2% to 4% of men and 0.5% to 1% of women. At this point in time, researchers and clinicians are not entirely sure why there is a gender discrepancy with this diagnosis.

Like with other mental health conditions or disorders, a formal diagnosis of antisocial personality disorder can only be provided by a qualified medical or mental health professional such as a psychiatrist. If you have a mental health condition or think that you might, it is imperative to see a medical or mental health professional who can help. Since symptoms seen in those with personality disorders can also double as a symptom seen in other disorders, getting a thorough professional opinion is essential when it comes to diagnosis.

How Much Do Casino Dealers Make in Vegas – 2025 Guide

img source: liveabout.com

The casino and gambling business is almost exclusively looked at from the point of view of the customers and players. The guests of online and traditional casinos are simply too important for anything else to get into the focus and potentially steal away the thunder.

This is how things have always been and it is more than okay because it is a customer-centric market. If it were any other way, the industry as a whole would hardly be where it is right now.

As you probably know, gambling is at an all-time high and there are many reasons why.

Although the online variant is the go-to way most modern players play their favorite games like roulette, poker, and blackjack, regular brick-and-mortar casinos are too big and too important to fail. Therefore, they are picking up right where they left off before the whole pandemic situation and welcoming new guests through their doors.

But what about the people responsible for allowing the players to have a good time and providing them with means of gambling? Can there even be a live table game without a proper person to act as the mediator and give you the cards? Of course not, which is why the dealers are among the most important factors in every game where a gambler cannot play alone. You are only really able to play the slots without a dealer because every card and roulette variation needs one to keep things in check, call the turns, and give you the cards. Refer to thabet.ai to get interesting games that can lead you to gain profits in a very short period.

In this article, we focus on the dealers and give them the attention they deserve. There would be no gambling without them so it is very important to talk about them. More importantly, we would like to take the opportunity and examine how much they make, particularly on their jobs at the legendary casino resorts in Las Vegas. If you are further interested in the world of gambling and would like to know more about it, make sure to check out starwarscasinos.com.

Average Yearly Salaries

img source: dnaindia.com

As with most other jobs in the United States, the best way to judge how well somebody is being paid is based on their yearly salary. Right now, based on the available information and the publicly, anonymously submitted salaries to relevant sources on the web, the average Las Vegas casino salary for dealers is more than $36,000 per year. The lowest submitted was $17,000 while the highest was $77,000. As you can see, this is a very wide range meaning there are different types of dealers working in Vegas.

Based on similar data and related jobs, casino floor supervisors make around $60,000 per year, casino hosts make more than $51,000 per year, while shift managers earn around $32,000. The most popular dealer position is the blackjack dealer, and they make $27,000 on average per year. These are, again, very varying numbers, and not all casinos pay their workers the same, but it is a good rough estimate to have some kind of a perspective.

Hourly Wages at Top Casinos

img source: edition.cnn.com

Another good way to determine whether or not your job pays well is to check your hourly wage. The US loves its hourly wages since it is the most accurate way of calculating how much your daily and therefore weekly, monthly, and yearly income is. When it comes to some of the top casinos and their dealer positions, the wages are largely similar. MGM Resorts International pays $9 per hour on average, with submitted wages ranging from $8 to $11. Venetian Casino Resort Inc. also pays $9 dollars per hour to their dealers.

However, these seem to be the lowest examples, or the least people who submitted them were in entry-level positions. On this page you can find out more.

A much more accurate hourly wage would be around $15 since there are numerous resorts and high-end casinos where every position pays well. An hourly wage of some $15 is among the best in the whole country and it is something you can expect at high-end venues like fine dining restaurants and special membership clubs all over New England, California, and other expensive states. What we should also remember is that not everyone likes to discuss their salaries, especially online to strangers, meaning the information can never be accurate. But if the average hourly wage is really around $15, it means there are jobs that pay way more than that, almost double. With that being said we can conclude here that being a Vegas dealer is a lucrative job, but also a position where you need to have a lot of skill, responsibility, and savvy.

Tips are Crucial

img source: gamblingsites.org

Last but certainly not least, there needs to be a few words about the tips. The tipping culture in America is like nowhere else in the world and most employers rely on it. By this we mean they pay their employees lower base salaries if they know they can make up for it in tips. This is often controversial because the employer does not really pay their workers much, but the employees get the money either way. In Vegas, tipping is the bread and butter of the worker’s daily wage since the more the guests make the more they tip.

Considering how much they tend to thank the dealer for their luck and cards, tips go as high as a few hundred dollars per night. Actually, on average, a dealer can expect to make $136 per shift. This is an amazing amount and it makes the hourly wage practically insignificant. Not all of the tips from the table go to the dealer, however, as different casinos have different practices and systems in place. Still, the total amount of tips is split between all the workers that night and a dealer usually walks away with well over a hundred bucks.

It pays to be a Vegas dealer, there is no denying this, but not all petitions pay equally. Long-term workers who have stuck by their employer for more than a few years, decades even, have stunning salaries that rival the highest paying jobs when the tips are calculated in. Therefore, it is all about determination and perseverance. Eventually, all good dealers start to make great money.
